A little more than a year after the release of his last album, The Weeknd, aka Abel Tesfaye, has announced his follow-up LP. It's called Starboy, and it's set to come out on November 25th, Pitchfork reports.
Just gotta wait a few more weekends
2015's Beauty Behind the Madness was something of a breakout album for Tesfaye, who had remained relatively underground since he released a trio of anonymous mixtapes in 2011. The album, although technically The Weeknd's second studio LP, was the first real indication that Tesfaye was interested in slick pop stardom.
That pop inclination looks like it'll stick around for Starboy. The Weeknd has also released the album's first single, the title track featuring Daft Punk. "Starboy" is a moody club track that also literally asserts Tesfaye's standing as a pop star. The song is available on Apple Music and Spotify; you can stream it below.
