Lorn's Anvil music video is a beautiful glimpse into a bleak cyberpunk future

New, 6 comments

The sky is tuned to a dead channel as drones fly lazily over the metropolis. This is the opening shot of the new music video for Lorn’s song Anvil, set in an overpopulated world a century from now.

The monochromatic palette enhances this bleak story, where people are required to jack into a "postmortem social network" in order to combat overpopulation. It’s a beautiful, yet horrifying glimpse into the future.

Creative team Hélène Jeudy and Antoine Caëcke created the music video, and were inspired by Japanese animated films such as Ghost in the Shell and Akira, and by Belgian comic Les Cités obscures by François Schuiten and Benoît Peeters.
