Samurai Jack

Samurai Jack will at last set off to face the demon lord Aku in his final journey this March. The news was finalized on Adult Swim last night: during a promotional bump, the network confirmed that Samurai Jack will air at 11:30PM on March 11th.

Cartoon Network originally announced back in December 2015 that the cult-favorite series would return in 2016. However, according to Polygon, animator Chris Reccardi stated on Facebook that the show had been pushed back into this year. Last night’s announcement confirms the rumor.

Samurai Jack, created by Dexter’s Laboratory creator Genndy Tartakovsky, is a classic among Cartoon Network fans for its anime-influenced style and epic sweep. Tartakovsky announced at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con that the Jack’s last adventure would consist of 10 episodes. Seeing as the show was cut down so prematurely, we’re looking forward to the new run.
