The lineup for the 2017 Coachella music festival has just been announced via Twitter, with Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, and Radiohead set to headline. None of these are surprising choices, though film fans were quick to pick up on one surprise: composer Hans Zimmer’s name.

Zimmer has been perhaps the most famous and prolific composer working in Hollywood for the last four decades. He is best known for his Academy Award-winning score for Disney’s The Lion King, as well as his scores for Terrence Malick’s The Thin Red Line, the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Ridley Scott’s Gladiator, and most of Christopher Nolan’s films (including the Dark Knight trilogy, Inception, Interstellar, and the upcoming Dunkirk).

He’ll perform both Sundays of the festival, as will Kendrick Lamar, Lorde (does this mean new music?), New Order (congrats, dad!), Justice, Porter Robinson, Madeon, Future Islands, and DJ Khaled. Coachella is scheduled from April 14th through April 23rd this year, in its usual location at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.

The Austin-based band S U R V I V E, responsible for the weirdly popular Stranger Things soundtrack that was released by Netflix due to popular demand, will also be performing. They’re scheduled for both Saturdays of the festival.
