Black Friday is rapidly upon us, and much like last year, Nintendo has a couple limited edition bundles to offer for the holiday season. This year, they’re both heavily themed around The Legend of Zelda.
First up is a Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time-themed 2DS, which comes decked out in a very Hylian green, and includes a preinstalled copy of the 3DS remaster of the classic title. It’ll cost the same $79.99 that Nintendo asks for the regular 2DS console, but it’s not a bad deal considering it comes with the free copy of Zelda.
Note: Does not include the ‘Breath of the Wild’ DLC
The other new Black Friday bundle is a limited “explorer’s edition” version of the The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which includes the regular base game, along with a rather nice-looking 100-page explorer’s guide and a two-sided map for helping you make your way around Hyrule. That said, the explorer’s edition doesn’t include any new game content — even the DLC isn’t bundled in — so it’s probably a better purchase for new Switch owners, unless you really want that included book and map. It’ll cost $59.99, which is still basically what the regular edition costs. (If you’re picking up the game for the first time, you might as well try to get the fancy edition.)
Both the Ocarina of Time 2DS and Breath of the Wild bundle will be available at retailers on Black Friday. We’ll continue to update this post as we get more information about when and where you’ll be able to pick them up.
