Tidal is getting into the holiday spirit. The streaming service is opening up its platform to anyone and everyone for 12 days beginning on Christmas, with no credit card required (a usual requirement for free streaming trials). The free trial will cover Tidal’s Hi-Fi tier as well, so if you’ve been wanting to try out high-fidelity music, now is your chance.
The streaming service says it will release exclusive content on each day of the trial, including four new original content series’, interviews, music videos, and documentaries on Rapsody and Trombone Shorty. Tidal says it will also be giving away some concert tickets during the trial as well.
Tidal has issued a number of updates to its services recently to improve the experience, including adding Sonos controls, supporting Apple CarPlay, and releasing TV apps on Android TV and Apple TV. Giving out a free trial without any automatic recurring charges — all you need to use the trial is your email address — is a good way to try to convince people to give Tidal another test run.
The trial period will last until January 5th.
