Bloomberg has obtained video of an Uber driver berating the ride-hailing company’s CEO Travis Kalanick for lowering prices and putting the squeeze on him and other drivers around the world. It’s a tasty bit of revenge drama at a time when Uber is under fire for, well — what isn’t Uber under fire for these days?

In the video, Uber Black driver Fawzi Kamel takes Kalanick to task for slashing fares for Uber’s luxury service, complaining to the pugnacious CEO that he’s lost almost $100,000 “because of you.” This causes Kalanick, who was mostly friendly throughout the trip, to lose his temper.

    “Bullshit.”

“Bullshit,” Kalanick says in response to Kamel’s accusation that he’s dropped the prices of Uber Black.

“We started with $20. How much is the mile now, $2.75?” Kamel implores.

Before storming out of the cab, he says, “Some people don't like to take responsibility for their own shit. They blame everything in their life on somebody else. Good luck!”

Kamel retorts, “Good luck to you, but I know [you're not] going to go far!” According to Bloomberg, Kamel then gave Kalanick a one-star rating. It stands to reason that Kalanick returned the favor.

A few months ago, the idea that Uber and Kalanick wouldn’t be going far might have sounded silly. The company is valued at almost $70 billion, is operating in hundreds of cities across the globe, and conducts millions of trips a month. The world, it seemed, was Uber’s oyster.

But in the last few weeks, Uber’s future has been thrown into doubt. Hundreds of thousands of customers deleted their accounts in protest of Kalanick’s ties to the Trump administration. Then a former engineer went public with explosive allegations of sexual harassment at the company. Her story went viral, prompting Kalanick to launch an investigation and promise a swift response.

On top of it all, Uber was sued by Google’s self-driving car spinoff over allegedly stolen technology. Uber calls the lawsuit “baseless,” but the company continues to show staggeringly poor judgment when it comes to convincing a skeptical public that its autonomous vehicles are legal and safe.

Uber’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year just keep getting worse and worse.
