When The Force Awakens was going into production, Lucasfilm partnered with Omaze for a charity campaign that ultimately raised $4.2 million. With The Last Jedi coming up in December, it’s relaunching Force for Change, offering up a bunch of really cool prizes, with all proceeds going to charities that benefit children around the world.
Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley introduce this year’s campaign in a short video, that it coincides with the 40th anniversary of the franchise, and that the prizes line up with the past, present, and future of Star Wars. For every dollar you donate to the campaign until May 11th, 2017, you have a chance to win a chance to be a part of the upcoming untitled Han Solo movie, attend the premiere for The Last Jedi, or to spend a night at Skywalker Ranch with a personal tour of its archives. Winners will be announced on May 22nd.
The two stars have some fun hamming it up in the video as well. Hamill needles Ridley about how she’s never actually visited Skywalker Ranch, and she strongly hints that she’ll be invited along as your plus one if you win.
Even if you don’t win one of the big prizes, there are some perks if you donate more, from digital badges ($15) and shirts ($100), all the way up to a private screening of The Last Jedi ($25,0000–50,000). This year, donations will go to support The Starlight Children’s Foundation and UNICEF.
