Fox just announced its fall 2017 television lineup, and it’s pretty heavy on sci-fi and genre. There will be an X-Men spinoff, The Gifted, a show called Ghosted that’s been described as a “comedic X-Files,” and Seth MacFarlane’s sci-fi series The Orville.

Today MacFarlane shared the first official image from The Orville, and it should already look familiar to anyone who’s watched a show set in space before:

While specific details on the show’s plot are scarce, this image makes it look like The Orville will be some kind of intergalactic parody. As BuzzFeed reporter Jarett Wieselman points out on Twitter, the series looks a little bit like 1999’s Galaxy Quest.

There have been attempts to turn Galaxy Quest into a television series before, but the process has been slow-moving. In 2015, Amazon announced it was developing a series based on the movie, but it never even got so much as a pilot order. Showrunners were reportedly interested in getting the original cast back together, but following Alan Rickman’s death in 2016, the entire series was stalled.

Given the recent onslaught of cult series revivals, however, a Galaxy Quest revival is not off the table entirely. Until then, we’ve got Seth MacFarlane.

The Orville doesn’t have an official premiere date yet.
