Marvel’s next big TV series is on its way to ABC this fall, and we’ve finally gotten a full trailer. Here, the Inhuman Royal Family, led by Black Bolt (Anson Mount) and Medusa (Serinda Swan), has made its way to Earth, thanks to the machinations of Maximus (Game of Thrones alum Iwan Rheon) — and it looks like it won’t be good for anyone.

Royal family intrigue in the marvel universe

First created back in 1965, the Inhumans are group of superpowered beings who’ve, up until recently, lived in the city of Attilan on the moon. Thanks to the Terrigen Mists, a mutagenic substance created during an ancient war, most members of the Royal Family have developed special abilities, like Medusa’s ability to manipulate her hair with her mind. The show will also feature Lost’s Ken Leung as priest and martial arts expert Karnak and Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, who has the power to control the elements.

Of course, the Inhumans aren’t a new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Agents of SHIELD introduced beings altered by the Terrigen Mists back in 2015 during its second season. Since then, Inhumans have become integral parts of the series. Although the Inhumans series likely won’t crossover with AoS in its eight-episode first season, there’s plenty of material to start connecting the two shows together.

The first episode of Inhumans premieres in IMAX theaters on September 1st. The series will debut on TV on September 29th.
