Bungie may have wrapped up Destiny 2’s beta for console players earlier in the week, but PC gamers who have been waiting to find out when they’ll be able to take the upcoming shooter for a spin now have an answer. On August 28th, things will kick off for those who have preordered the game.
The beta opens to everyone else a day later and will run until the 31st (although betas like these have a history of getting last minute extensions.) Content-wise, expect to be able to play the same slice of gameplay offered in the console beta — the first story mission “Homecoming,” the Inverted Spire strike, and a sampling of the new 4v4 Crucible game modes.
Bungie also released the recommended specs you’ll need to play Destiny 2 on PC, so you’ve got plenty of time to make sure your rig is up to spec before the beta hits at the end of August. You’ll also want to make sure to link your Battle.net account to your Bungie account sometime before then.
