Spider-Man: Homecoming has finally been released. And when you see it, you’re going to notice a lot of differences between this and previous cinematic versions of the Marvel character. One major change: his spider sense is hardly mentioned.

This might feel jarring because the animated cartoon show and the comics liked to make a show of the whole thing.

Is this rooted in reality, though? Do spiders have psychic premonitions?
