Our Mr. Robot Digital After Show returns!

Our Mr. Robot Digital After Show returns!

The third season of Mr. Robot is coming to USA on October 11th, and the Mr. Robot Digital After Show is coming back, too! This year, it will be hosted by Nilay Patel, Megan Farokhmanesh, and me, Russell Brandom.

Mr. Robot has gotten really interesting over the last season, using hacker culture as a way to talk about history, mental illness, and the broader collapse of parasitic capitalism. There’s also a lot of straight-up hacking, with a level of technical detail that’s still very new to TV. All that gives us a lot to dig through each week — whether it’s breaking down the plot, walking through the hacks, or checking in with the fans.

You can find us on The Verge each week, or on the Mr. Robot Facebook page. And if there’s anything you want us to cover, you can tweet at us using the #RobotAfterShow hashtag on Twitter.

Speaking of parasitic capitalism, we should mention that USA Network is owned by NBCUniversal, which itself owns a minority stake in Vox Media, the wise and loving parent company of The Verge. Like everything else that comes from The Verge editorial staff, the After Show is an independent editorial product, guided only by our own (admittedly questionable) interests and taste.

That’s about it. You’ve got two weeks to catch up on Mr. Robot before the new season starts up. And every Wednesday after the show, you can find us here for the after-party.

If you would like to see Nilay angrily putting on a top hat, we have a GIF of that:

See you on the streams!
