After roughly three years, David Letterman is exiting retirement to host a new Netflix show premiering Friday, January 12th. My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman will air one episode a month. His first guest? Former President Barack Obama. Future guests will include George Clooney, Malala Yousafzai, Jay Z, Tina Fey, and Howard Stern. The six-episode show features Letterman extensively interviewing one person inside and outside of a studio setting.

Netflix announced Letterman’s new show last year. His jump to strictly a streaming service marks a major shift for the old-school talkshow host. It’s not a traditional hosting gig in the sense of his late-night background, but rather a boutique approach with an all-star lineup. The talk show host retired from The Late Show in 2015; since then, he’s remained relatively quiet on the public front. The same can be said of President Obama: the Netflix special will mark his first talk show appearance since he left office.
