Microsoft debuted its new line of Surface products at an event in New York today and most are available to pre-order now. The Surface Pro 6, Surface Laptop 2, and Surface Studio 2 all have faster processors and other improvements compared to their predecessors — and the portables now come in a sleek matte black finish. Microsoft also debuted an entirely new product today: the $350 noise-canceling Surface Headphones. (Sadly, there’s no black option for those.) Here’s how to pre-order everything.
Surface Pro 6
Microsoft’s newest laptop/tablet hybrid will be available on October 16th but can be pre-ordered now. The Surface Pro 6 will start at $899 for the platinum colored version with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. The matte black Surface Pro 6 starts at 256GB for $1,199.
Surface Laptop 2
The second generation of Microsoft’s Surface Laptop is supposed to be 85 percent faster than its predecessor. Available for pre-order now, the Surface Laptop 2 has an entry-level price of $999 for the platinum color with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Again, choosing the matte black version bumps things up — that starts at 256GB for $1,299. The Surface Laptop 2 officially goes on sale October 16th.
Surface Studio 2
The second generation of Microsoft’s all-in-one Surface Studio PC can be ordered now, and will ship by November 15th. The base model comes with an 7th Gen Intel i7 processor, 1TB of storage, and 16GB RAM starting at $3,500.
Bumping up to a 32GB RAM will run you $4,200, and a 2TB configuration jumps to $4,800. Currently, the Studio 2 are slated to ship on November 15th according to the official product page.
There’s no concrete information right now on when the noise-canceling Surface Headphones will be available, only that they’re shipping “in time for the holidays” for those in the US.
