OnePlus has announced that the “thunder purple” variant of the OnePlus 6T smartphone will be available for purchase in North America and Europe starting on November 15th. The special purple variant first debuted in China last week.

Much like the midnight and mirror black versions of the 6T, the thunder purple model is available with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and will sell for $579. All of the other features, including compatibility with Verizon and the in-screen fingerprint scanner, are also available on the thunder purple model. The purple color way isn’t a solid color, but a gradient that fades from black to purple from the top to the bottom of the phone. It has a smooth, matte finish, like the midnight black model, and retains the “S-curve” that’s visible under the glass when it reflects light.

The OnePlus 6T is one of the best smartphone values of the year, with a large, vibrant screen, fast performance, and great software for much less than similarly specced models. The company recently announced that first day sales of the 6T were 86 percent higher than they were for the 6 and the 6T is the the best-selling OnePlus phone at launch in the US.

OnePlus has a history of releasing special color versions of its phones throughout their shelf lives, so this likely won’t be the only color variation we see. The thunder purple version will be available to purchase from OnePlus directly once it goes on sale on the 15th.
