Tamagotchi-inspired Pokémon devices have existed for some time, but a new collaboration between The Pokémon Company and Tamagotchi is bringing one pocket monster to people’s actual pockets.

Tamagotchi and The Pokémon Company are teaming up for the first official Pokémon Tamagotchi, which will allow owners to take care of their very own Eevee. Plus, each Eevee has the potential to evolve into one of the pokémon’s eight adorable creatures: Espeon, Umbreon, Sylveon, Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Leafeon, and Glaceon.

The Tamagotchi Nano will be released in Japan in January 2019, according to a Japanese website for the gadget. There currently isn’t a North American release date. The Tamagotchi was first rumored earlier this month after information leaked, but it wasn’t confirmed until today.

Although this is the first official Tamagotchi and Pokémon collaboration, it isn’t the first time that The Pokémon Company has explored a physical digital pet for players. The Pocket Pikachu, which was inspired by Tamagotchi’s incredible success, was released in 1998. It allowed Pokémon fans to carry around a tiny Pikachu in their pocket. Then, in 2010, The Pokémon Company released the PokéWalker, which was essentially a pedometer that displayed a tiny Pikachu.

The Eevee Tamagotchi is available in an appropriate brown-and-pink hard shell, and it will retail for approximately $20.
