Fortnite’s monstrous “Fortnitemares” event concluded over the weekend with a dramatic explosion that not only changed the island, but it also rid it of the zombie-like creatures that had invaded. And while those creatures — known as cube monsters — aren’t in Fortnite’s main battle royale mode anymore, that doesn’t mean they’ve disappeared completely. Today, developer Epic launched a new limited-time event in the game called “team terror,” in which two squads of 32 players each try to eliminate each other. The twist is that the map is also infested with cube monsters that are trying to kill you.

The new mode comes as part of the game’s latest patch, v6.22, which also introduces a number of other, smaller changes. There’s a new heavy assault rifle, previously announced NFL jersey skins, and the return of another limited-time mode called “blitz,” which is aimed at speeding up the game. “The match begins with the storm moving towards the island, and the delay between each circle is shorter than normal, creating matches that are 15 minutes long or less,” Epic explains. “The map also has extra loot and resources.” You can check out the full patch release notes here.
