Fallout: New Vegas developer Obsidian Entertainment’s newest RPG is The Outer Worlds.

Obsidian Entertainment brought the first teaser for The Outer Worlds to The Game Awards, giving fans of the developer just a small glimpse into the newly crafted world. The trailer showed off intergalactic travel, numerous planets, and sci-fi technology. A brief introduction to weapons and characters players will encounter also appear.

A teaser for the announcement was posted on Obsidian Entertainment’s website prior to the game awards, and used images of retro space guns and local grocery store items like bread and skincare to tease out the next adventure. The extended reveal and first teaser confirms the sci-fi vibe, which should please Fallout: New Vegas fans.

It’s a busy time for Obsidian. Microsoft announced in November that it was preparing to acquire the company, but noted in a statement that Obsidian would retain its autonomy.

Obsidian Entertainment’s most recent game was Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, which is a sequel to the studio’s 2015 title, Pillars of Eternity. The studio is best known for its work on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, Fallout: New Vegas, and South Park: The Stick of Truth.

The Outer Worlds does not have a release date at this time, but more information is expected to be released in the coming months.
