Sonos has just announced new speaker sets that offer a bit of a discount if you are looking to deck out your entire house with the company’s products. While Sonos has offered limited-time bundle discounts in the past, those were largely limited to its Play:1 and Sonos One speakers. These new sets include the entire product lineup.
There are 13 sets in total, with various combos of the Sonos One, Play:5, Playbase, Playbar, and Pro-Ject Essential III Phono turntable. Speaker sets start at $379, and depending on the set, the savings range from around $20 to about $100. Sure, it makes sense to offer package deals on smart speakers; if you’re considering getting a Sonos Playbar, though, maybe wait a little before taking the plunge.
The company recently sent out press invites for a June 6th event showing a coffee table with multiple remotes and the tagline: “You’re better than this.” This, combined with a recent FCC filing for a new home theater smart speaker means Sonos could be working on a follow-up for the Playbar, or an entirely new device. So it might be best to wait a few weeks before laying down the cash for a speaker set.
