Postmates will begin service in 100 more US cities as part of its largest expansion yet. New shops and restaurants have been added as well, per the company’s announcement in a blog post.
The cities include: Albuquerque, Allen, Ann Arbor, Arlington, Auburn, Bakersfield, Baton Rouge, Birmingham, Blaine, Bloomington, Blue Springs, Boise, Brooklyn Park, Burnsville, Charleston, Cicero, Cincinnati, Clearwater, Cleveland, Clovis, Colorado Springs, Dearborn, Denton, Des Plaines, Detroit, East Orange, and more. Some of these names are technically boroughs or neighborhoods, like Queens and the Bronx. Nevertheless it’s a massive expansion that means people living in smaller cities and towns can try out the Postmates service.
The company also announced a partnership with Chipotle that adds 300 more Chipotle locations. To celebrate the news, Postmates will offer free deliveries from now until July 15th.
Postmates’ delivery roster mostly includes restaurants and convenience stores, but it added grocery stores late last year to compete with giants like Amazon and Instacart. In April this year, Walmart also began working with Postmates to grow its grocery delivery service.
