Disney has released a new trailer for Ralph Breaks the Internet, its sequel to 2012’s Wreck-It Ralph. (It seems to have streamlined its awkward original title by dropping “Wreck-It Ralph 2.”) Earlier clips gave us a feel for the conceit and jokes of the new film, but the newest one reveals a bit more about its emotional core.

From the first couple of trailers, we learned that the new film seems to be updating the same quirky, meta approach that the original took to video games for its very online audience. In the new trailer — set to Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up” because it’s the internet, get it? — we learn why the characters are venturing beyond their arcade. After the steering wheel for Vanellope von Schweetz’s racing game is broken by a patron, the candy queen’s console is turned off, so they head off in search of a replacement part to restore her world. As they race underground GTA-style drivers, take selfies with Disney princesses, and get bombarded with spam ads for “one weird trick,” Vanellope begins to realize that she might not want to return to the safer world of her arcade game after all.

Ralph Breaks the Internet hits theaters on November 21st, 2018.
