Customers on Verizon’s unlimited data plans will be able to score a free year of Disney’s upcoming streaming service Disney+.

The deal, which is valued at $84, is available to new and existing 4G LTE and 5G unlimited customers as well as Fios broadband or 5G home wireless internet customers, according to a press release. The announcement comes as part of a broad new partnership between Disney and Verizon. Under the new deal, Verizon will become the exclusive US wireless carrier partner for Disney+.

The deal is worth $84, and it’s available to new and existing Verizon and Fios customers

Verizon has confirmed that customers who pre-purchased a Disney+ subscription can still take advantage of the free one-year offer. Pre-purchased Disney+ subscriptions will effectively be paused while the one-year free offer is in effect, and then kick in after the 12-month period is over.

The move should also help Disney secure immediate subscribers within the first year of the streaming service’s launch, which is a crucial period for the company. Disney has forecasted that it should net about 13 million subscribers in the US by the end of 2020, with a focus on expanding globally at an accelerated rate.

Disney+ is just one of the many streaming services that will launch in the coming months, including Apple TV Plus, AT&T’s HBO Max, and Comcast’s Peacock. Disney+ is priced on the lower end of the streaming service spectrum, coming in at $6.99 a month. Disney is also offering a bundle that includes ad-supported Hulu and sports streaming service ESPN+ for $12.99 a month (the same price as Netflix’s most popular subscriber tier).

Disney+ is launching with a couple of original series, including the highly anticipated live-action Star Wars show The Mandalorian. Disney+ will launch on November 12th.
