If you’ve been hoping to upgrade your smartphone or laptop, you’ll soon be able to get your hands on Samsung’s Galaxy S23, Galaxy Book3 Pro, and Galaxy Book3 Pro 360. The devices will be widely available starting tomorrow, February 17th, but you’ll need to act fast if you’re hoping to take advantage of Samsung’s ongoing preorder promos before they expire at 3AM ET / 12AM PT tonight.
Where to preorder the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra
Samsung’s Galaxy S23 series consists of three phones: the standard S23, the S23 Plus, and the S23 Ultra. Samsung is currently offering free storage upgrades and up to $150 in Samsung credit when you preorder the 6.1-inch Galaxy S23, which starts at $799.99, or the 6.3-inch Galaxy S23 Plus, which starts at $999.99. Both Amazon and Best Buy are also offering the free storage bump and a $50 gift card when you preorder the Galaxy S23 for the same price, or a $100 gift card when you preorder the Galaxy S23 Plus (Amazon, Best Buy). Note, however, that Best Buy’s deal is set to expire at 1AM ET on February 17th.
Samsung Galaxy S23 (256GB)$8607% off
Samsung’s new Galaxy S23 phone maintains a 6.1-inch screen like its predecessor, but it now has a brighter panel with a stronger Gorilla Glass covering for improved drop protection. Design-wise, it eschews the camera bump around its three rear cameras, and it also has a bigger battery than the S22.
As for the 6.8-inch Galaxy S23 Ultra, it’s available with $150 in Samsung credit and a free memory upgrade when you preorder it direct from Samsung starting at $1,199.99. That credit can be used toward the purchase of one of Samsung’s new laptops or a handful of accessories, however, you can’t use it to offset the price of the phone itself. If you prefer a different retailer, Amazon and Best Buy are also offering the aforementioned storage upgrade and a $100 gift card when you preorder the Galaxy S23 Ultra for $1,199.99.
Samsung’s latest phones are faster than the S22 series thanks to a new, Galaxy-optimized version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Each S23 phone also sports a bigger battery and other incremental improvements, though only the Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with a stylus and 200-megapixel main camera sensor. Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus (512GB)$120017% off
The Galaxy S23 Plus has a large 6.3-inch screen and is mostly at parity with the base S23. It’s got the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and a slightly larger battery capacity of 4,700mAh (up 200mAh from the S22 Plus), but the S23 Plus starts with an ample 256GB of storage in its base configuration.
Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (512GB)$138013% off
Much like the previous model, the latest Ultra phone from Samsung is a spec monster. The S23 Ultra now boasts a 200-megapixel main camera sensor that bins photos down to a manageable 12-megapixel size. It also has a slightly redesigned exterior and a similar 6.8-inch OLED panel that works with its included stylus.
Where to preorder the Galaxy Book3 Pro, Pro 360, and Ultra
On the laptop front, Samsung is still offering a free memory upgrade and $50 in Samsung credit when you preorder the 14-inch Galaxy Book3 Pro starting at $1,449.99 — at least until February 17th at 3AM ET. Best Buy is offering the same deal until 1AM ET on February 17th. The same promo applies to the 16-inch Galaxy Book3 Pro 360, which is available to preorder at Samsung and Best Buy starting at $1,899.99, and the forthcoming Galaxy Book3 Ultra, which launches on February 22nd and is available for preorder from Samsung and Best Buy starting at $2,199.99.
Samsung’s Galaxy Book3 Pro is an entry-level laptop that’s available in both 14-inch and 16-inch sizes in either graphite or beige. It features a new processor and a more spacious OLED display than its predecessor, along with a 120Hz refresh rate.
All three laptops are powered by Intel’s 13th Gen Core processors and feature 1800p OLED displays with fast 120Hz refresh rates. However, the Galaxy Book3 Ultra — which can easily be seen as a rival to Apple’s latest MacBook Pro — features a large, 16-inch display and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU. We’ve yet to publish our review of the laptops, but you can check out our hands-on impressions to learn more about them.
Samsung’s Galaxy Book3 Pro 360 is a 2-in-1 convertible laptop that’s compatible with the S Pen stylus. It offers an upgraded processor and display and is available with a 5G connectivity option in graphite or beige.
The 16-inch Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra is geared toward consumers who need a higher-powered device than the Galaxy Book3. With its Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, it should be well suited for graphics-heavy workloads.
