PIR, the group that runs the .org domain, announced a new partnership to sponsor free access for groups that run top-level domains (TLDs) — think .com, .net, etc. — to the Internet Watch Foundation’s TLD Hopping List and Domain Alerts.
With free access to both features, they can quickly shut down a website if CSAM is detected, and that site also can’t easily go and register the same name with another domain provider. They’re seeking to increase the number of subscribed TLDs from a dozen to over a thousand.
