“Season 2, as you probably know, deals with a more religious, mythological question. It really goes back to this question of what happens when a people face crises over and over again, and they pray to their gods, and their gods don’t answer. And what’s happened in Wakanda is, by opening up the possibility [of] a more democratic system, of a new constitution, it actually opens up the possibility of people questioning their gods.”
