Carbon, a popular twitter client for webOS and Windows Phone, is on its way to Android and has just been demoed in a bit of a teaser video. From what we can make out in the admittedly poor-quality sneak peek, the app takes Google's Android 4.0 design guidelines to heart — this is definitely a "Holo" app. Like its webOS and Windows Phone variants, Carbon for Android is dominated by a black theme and has some very attractive pages. The app is scheduled to enter private alpha soon, but it looks to be running quite smoothly in the video with plenty of funky-looking transitions. Unfortunately, details are slim other than that, but the developers say that this is the last teaser they'll show off, so hopefully the app isn't too far off. If you're looking to avoid promoted tweets on your mobile Twitter timeline the new app might fit the bill, as the developers have already confirmed that Carbon will support push notifications on day one.
