Before that, he spent more than a decade covering large technology companies, Silicon Valley startups, and the gaming industry as a reporter and editor for news publications like The Verge, Protocol, and CNET and for gaming consultancy and newsletter operation Naavik. In his free time, Nick is the proud co-parent of a shy and peculiar orange cat named General Bean Sprout, with whom he resides in Rochester, NY, which it turns out is actually Western New York and not just upstate.
