New colors for an old favorite

The Koss Porta Pros are some of the most iconic on-ear headphones ever made. But the headphones made today are virtually identical to a pair from the original release in 1984. That changed a few weeks back, when Koss released two limited edition colors for the Porta Pros: Rhythm Beige, which replaces the black plastic components with new, retro beige ones, and Black Gold, which colors the metallic components gold.

And as of this week, Koss is selling both limited edition colors on Amazon, in addition to the Koss website, for $59.99 each (the standard colored Porta Pros have an MSRP of $49.99, but can currently be found on Amazon for a reduced $33.67).

Other than the new color options, the limited edition Prota Pros also add an inline remote to the cable (something that had previously only been offered on the more expensive Porta Pro KTC model). Otherwise they are the same as the originals, offering the same great sound and adjustable "ComfortZone" pressure levels for the ear pads that make the Porta Pros my colleague Paul Miller's "favorite headphones in the world."
