Huawei's new G9 Lite doesn't come in rose gold

Huawei unveiled its G9 Lite smartphone and MediaPad M2 7.0 tablet today, which it plans to sell in China. Unlike its P9 counterpart, the G9 phone has only one camera, but it's also significantly cheaper with a price of 1,699 yuan, or $261.

Some specs:

  • Three colors: black, white, and gold
  • 5.2-inch display
  • 16GB of storage, microSD expansion
  • 3GB of RAM
  • Kirin 650 64-bit octa-core processor
  • 13-megapixel rear-facing camera
  • 8-megapixel front-facing camera

The MediaPad M2 7.0 tablet will retail for 1,599 yuan, or $246. It comes in four colors, has a seven-inch screen, and runs on the Snapdragon 615 processor. The G9 is available May 13th, and Huawei hasn't set a release date for the tablet.
