Chinese company Jide continues to put its Remix OS software (a version of Android that adds desktop elements like floating windows and a start menu) on new devices. The latest is the Remix Pro — a 2-in-1 tablet with a keyboard cover that lets it function as a laptop. It's an update on last year's Remix Ultra, and is the first of Jide's devices to ship with Remix OS 3, an updated version of the software based on Android Marshmallow.

The Pro has a 12-inch full-HD display (2,160 x 1,440), Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with microSD support. It also comes with a 9,000 mAh battery, weighs 640 grams (half the weight of a MacBook Air) and has front and rear-facing cameras (5-megapixels and 8-megapixels respectively). As with all of Jide's other Remix OS devices, you get access to all the usual Android apps and features — although you do have to sideload the Play store to get them.

Jide also announced new 22-inch and 32-inch size options for its all-in-one PC. As usual for Jide, these devices will be available in China only for now, but could eventually make the move to other markets.
