The Toasteroid

I have no reason to believe the Toasteroid is real. It’s a Kickstarter campaign, so backing it comes with no guarantee that it’ll ever be made. But still, I want to believe. I want my bill reminders to show up on my toast. I want to coat a smiley face in butter and delight my friends with bread. This toaster printer lets users design images to go on their toast through a companion iOS / Android app. Let me believe!

Grobo

You could use the Grobo to grow fruit or vegetables. Or you can use it to grow weed. Your choice. A Canadian startup says it developed the obelisk with medicinal marijuana in mind. Canadians have apparently struggled to grow it at home, so this could be an easy way for them to produce it. The device only requires water, nutrients, and seeds. A companion app handles the rest. LEDs inside can mimic 18 hours of sunshine and carbon filters filter out smells from the plants. The company’s only taking preorders currently, but yeah, I think a glowing obelisk is definitely the New Age salt water fish tanks.

BeoVision 14

I don’t own a TV and that’s partially because I think most of them are ugly. Something about a massive screen seems to throw off a room’s ambiance. I’m cool with this TV, though. It looks retro with the wood lamellas, so it’ll fit my aesthetic. It’s also got a 4K resolution and runs on Android TV, but it’s expensive. It starts at $6,700. I’ll add it to my mood board.
