Did you know Razer is planning to release a phone? Razer really wants you make sure you're aware. Bloomberg reported in July that the gaming accessory company was considering building a device following its acquisition of Nextbit earlier this year. CEO Min-Liang Tan further confirmed the news in an interview with CNBC last month. He said: "One of the most hotly rumored things about Razer is that we're coming up with a mobile device. And I can say that we are coming up with a mobile device specifically geared toward gamers and entertainment." He also said he hoped to release it by the end of the year.

Just in case you missed all that, though, he's pushing the news yet again by sort of leaking his own device. Tom Moss, the SVP / GM of Mobile at Razer (previously Nextbit), tweeted this image last night:

It's a lovely photo of two relatively new colleagues standing near a grassy (?) wall. What's that? You see a phone peeking out of Tan's pocket? Incredible. I guess that's Razer's phone! From what we can tell, and in a surprise to no one, the new phone will prominently feature the bright green Razer snake logo.

You might remember that we wrote a similar post about Apple CEO Tim Cook and his pocket before the iPhone X was revealed. In Cook's case, we didn't actually see the phone at all, we only could make out an outline. He also released the image without intending to fuel speculation. Tan is instead blatant in his desire for a speculative blog post, and we're happy to give it to him.
