Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy TabPro S, a Windows 10 tablet that borrowed and improved upon many of the ideas put forth by Microsoft’s Surface line. Now it’s launching two new tablets that feature even more improvements on the productivity tablet idea.

The new Galaxy Book 10 and Galaxy Book 12 both run Windows 10 (you can read more about Samsung’s new Android tablet, the Galaxy Tab S3, here) and come with styli and keyboard cases. They both have slim, aluminum designs and will be available in both Wi-Fi and LTE models. The Book 10 has a 10.6-inch, 1920 x 1280 pixel LCD display and an Intel Core m3 processor, while the higher-end Book 12 is equipped with a 12-inch Super AMOLED HDR display and Intel’s fanless Core i5 processor.

The Book 12 is clearly the higher-end of the two tablets, and includes a better camera to go along with its faster processor and nicer screen. But both tablets have two USB Type-C ports, up to 10 hours of battery life, and fast charging features.

Samsung has improved its keyboard case from last year, and the new one has improved key travel, island-style keycaps, and backlighting. The trackpad is also 50 percent larger than the one included with the TabPro S.

The S Pen, which also comes in the box with either tablet, supports over 4,000 levels of pressure sensitivity, has a rubber 0.7mm tip, and never needs to be charged. It can be used to take notes, draw, or capture screen shots. Unfortunately, there’s no where to put the S Pen when you’re not using it, so it can be easily lost.

Unsurprisingly, the Book 12’s HDR AMOLED display is rich and colorful, and quite impressive in person. Performance was also quick in our brief time with a model with 8GB of RAM.

Samsung is not saying when either Book model will be released, nor is it saying how much they will cost. But with these two new tablets and the expectation of a Surface Pro 5 from Microsoft in the near future, it should be an interesting spring for Windows 10 tablets.
