Como Audio is unveiling two new speakers today called the Amico and the Musica. They’re the follow-ups to the company’s Solo and Duetto speakers from last year. Unlike those speakers that were designed to stay in the home, the Amico is meant to travel. Meanwhile, the Musica is designed to stay in place but includes a built-in CD player. I know.

Here are the details on both:

The Amico weighs a little over three and a half pounds and can handle eight hours of playback, according to Como. It supports Bluetooth, NFC for pairing devices, and Wi-Fi. It’ll also play music from online radio stations, Spotify Connect, and FM radio. You’ll notice that it features a 2.8-inch TFT display, similarly to the Solo, as well as adjustable EQ and six preset buttons. It stands upright, which is honestly kind of cool. I like the look. Inside there’s a 4-layer voice coil woofer and a dome tweeter. It’ll cost $399 on Kickstarter, but will come to market officially in October.

The Musica is more similar to the Duetto in that it has a larger 3.2-inch color TFT and eight preset options. It also features an optical input, as well as a USB port, two auxiliary ports, and an Ethernet port. It supports music from online radio stations, Spotify Connect, Deezer, Napster, and Amazon Music. Just like Como’s other products, device pairing is done over NFC. Now, the key difference between Musica and every other speaker Como makes is its CD player. Yes, CD player. Is that what everyone wanted? I don’t necessarily think so, but this will at least appeal to a certain group of consumers, and it kind of fits with the company’s retro vibe. It’s available in white, black, or wood. The Musica will cost $599 on Kickstarter and when it’s released in October.
