OnePlus has announced today that the new OnePlus 5 can now be purchased in a gold color variant. Called “Soft Gold,” this version of the OnePlus 5 is available with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Unlike the midnight black and slate gray models, the soft gold OnePlus 5 has a white front instead of black. In addition, OnePlus will soon offer the slate gray model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Prior to this, the higher-end model of the OnePlus 5 was only available in midnight black.

The OnePlus 5’s gold color is very similar to the gold that the OnePlus 3 and 3T were available in, which is a good thing. It’s a subtle gold that’s quite attractive, and has a soft finish that matches its name well. The only downside might be the white front — the lighter color panel makes the OnePlus 5’s lack of an edge-to-edge display that much more obvious.

Aside from the new color, this version of the OnePlus 5 is identical to the model released in June. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, a 3,300mAh battery, a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, and a dual-camera system with 16- and 20-megapixel sensors. The soft gold OnePlus 5 is available direct from OnePlus starting today for $479.
