The best deals of the year are yet to come, with Black Friday and Cyber Monday now on the horizon. But we’ve seen some pretty good deals already in October. This week, we’re putting the spotlight on the not-so-new Samsung Galaxy Note 9, which is celebrating the release of a few new colors in the US. The colors aren’t all that remarkable, but Samsung and a few retailers are seizing the moment to make a big second push of deals.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in cloud silver (one of two new colors in the US, black is the other) is now available at Best Buy for $999 unlocked. Other purchase options are available for less upfront if you want to add it to your carrier plan, but what sticks out about this deal is that you’ll get a free Samsung 32-inch 720p television with the phone.

Making things sweeter, Samsung is doubling trade-in values for select phones, offering up to $600 back for the iPhone X or iPhone 8 Plus (less for others) if you purchase a Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+, or Note 9 between October 5th and November 3rd. You’ll need to upload your proof of purchase of said Samsung phone through the Shop Samsung Android app to be eligible for the trade-in bonus. As far as what the trade-in values look like, Samsung provided a list of devices included in the trade-in program.

For the best deal on a Note 9, we’re split. Best Buy’s free TV offer above is decent, if you need a TV. B&H Photo’s Note 9 offer includes the Samsung wireless charging stand, which might be more useful to you. If your eyes are set on the S9 or S9+, you’ll pay far less at B&H Photo, and even get a few accessories thrown in for free.

    • Forza Horizon 4 for Xbox One and PC is $53.99 at Newegg with offer code EMCEPPR28 used at checkout. This sale on the standard edition digital code ends on Monday. If you like racing games, this one covers all of the bases, from dirt and street racing in every season to performing ridiculous stunts with high-end sports cars that you’ll never own in real life.
    • The Tile Bluetooth trackers are a great way to keep track of your stuff. Best Buy is selling multi-packs of Tiles and tossing in a free Google Home Mini with purchase.
    • Last week’s best deal, the PS4 Pro bundle with Red Dead Redemption 2, deserves another mention. For $399, you’re getting Rockstar Games’ latest title for free. It’s currently sold out at Amazon, but you can still preorder it at Best Buy, GameStop, or Walmart.
