A lot happened this week. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was unveiled, The Verge glimpsed into Magic Leap’s vision of the future for augmented reality, and the Google Pixel 3 XL leaked rather extensively.

There are also some newsworthy deals you should know about. This week’s best offers are aimed at students going back to school, but most of what’s below is available to anyone.

Looking to preorder the Samsung Galaxy Note 9? There are countless ways to do it, but only a few of those options provide really good incentives that are worth your money.

B&H Photo is selling preorders of the Note 9 at $999, offering the same bonuses available to anyone who places an order before August 23rd: AKG noise-canceling headphones ($299 value) or 15,000 V-bucks, Fortnite’s in-game currency ($150 value.) What makes this deal better than the others is that B&H also includes a DeX pad to connect the Note 9 to a computer display or TV, as well as the new Wireless Charger Duo along with purchase. The latter can wirelessly charge two phones at once, or a phone alongside the new Galaxy Watch. Together, those two accessories would cost over $200.

Other notable preorder specials come from Sam’s Club, which is tossing in a $200 Sam’s Club gift card along with purchase. Verizon stands out from the carrier pack with its BOGO program that pays you back for buying a second Note 9 through 24 monthly credits.

If the Note 9 is a bit too expensive, but you still need a phone, Amazon is offering a special combo deal that includes a free Samsung Chromebook 3 with the purchase of an unlocked Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus. They are no longer the latest Android phones around, but they’re not too far behind what the Note 9 is capable of.

Students (or parents of students) can sign up to access one-time use coupons at Best Buy that include:

Google hardware is discounted starting today over at the Google Store. We’ve seen better prices on the Pixelbook, but these are currently the cheapest for Google’s other tech. Though, if having the newest gear is important, it’s worth keeping in mind that Google is expected to unveil some new hardware, including phones and a laptop, in October.
