By all appearances, the race to the thinnest tablet is officially on, and Toshiba has seriously thrown down the gauntlet today with its announcement of the 7.7mm-thick AT200. Running Android 3.2, the 10.1-inch device clocks in at 558 grams (1.23 pounds) and features a 1.2GHz dual-core OMAP 4430 processor, HDMI-out, microSD expansion, and a 5-megapixel camera while promising up to 8 hours of video entertainment in a single shot. Look for it to launch in the fourth quarter in Europe; pricing has yet to be announced.
