Phandroid has posted a slide — said to be from an internal Samsung Mobile deck — that alleges to show the progression from last year's Galaxy S, to this year's Galaxy S II, to next year's Galaxy S III. We're unable to vouch for the authenticity of the slide or the information on it, but everything presented here seems fairly logical for what we should be expecting next year: a 4.6-inch 720p Super AMOLED Plus display (already in use on the Galaxy S II HD LTE), a 1.8GHz dual-core Exynos processor, a 12-megapixel camera, and some 2GB of RAM on board. Less authentic, however, is the image accompanying the alleged specs — but we'd expect Samsung to be using mockups this early in the game, and the screen of the device depicted appears to be showing a new iteration of TouchWiz that we haven't seen before, possibly running atop Ice Cream Sandwich. Is it enough of a boost for a proper S II successor? Odds are we'll need to wait until the first few months of 2012 to find out.
