A 'Seinfeld' reunion is coming 'very soon'

Seinfeld Boomer Carton

The Seinfeld cast is getting back together (again). After Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander were recently spotted walking into Tom's Restaurant — the New York City diner that played host to many of the sitcom's memorable scenes — fans were eager to know more about the encounter. When Seinfeld made a guest appearance on Boomer & Carton Thursday morning, the hosts took full advantage of the opportunity and peppered the comedy star with questions. First, Seinfeld claimed that the reunion wasn't for a Super Bowl commercial, nor was it simply another episode of Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. "But it is not not those things, either," he joked.

"It's a secret project," Seinfeld said, confirming that other cast members were involved in filming. Co-creator Larry David also took part, though apparently in a production role — Seinfeld said he doesn't appear on camera. As for when fans can expect to see this "shortish" reunion, Seinfeld teased that it's coming "very, very soon." This isn't the first time Seinfeld's stars have been reunited on camera; the seventh season of David's Curb Your Enthusiasm brought Seinfeld, Alexander, Michael Richards, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus together for a fictional Seinfeld reunion episode.

I still think it’s a superbowl thing.

Cool for those who like Seinfeld, I for one do not. However, it’s been one of most critically acclaimed comedies ever, and if anyone knows how to make it, it’s probably him.

So basically:

(I on the other hand couldn’t be more excited)

This will be glorious!

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes

I feel they should do a like a 6 episode run just for the hell of it. You know it would be good and it still wouldn’t tarnish the original 9 series. The Curb episode was so good and such a tease. Like I said, 6 solid episodes. That Twitter picture is amazing though haha.

They should change the format to a series of three 2-hour dramas and show them on the BBC.

What if it’s miniseries on where they all ended up 20 years later?!?

Well the 7th season of Curb eluded to that, George made an iPhone app that was pretty successful.

I’m super stoked for a reunion! Or anything by Larry David.

I also wanna share how awesome Seinfeld Lorem Ipsum is. http://seinfeldipsum.com

I hope they are still in jail. They really deserved it.

He was also on Mike & Mike this morning, where he confirmed he would “never do TV again”. As interesting as a reunion would be, I don’t really appreciate reunion “teases”.

Here’s hoping for a Netflix original? Does that count as TV?!

It’s not TV. It’s HBO.

For the Love of God let it be more than a reunion!

aww yisss

Ah the gif I was looking for.

Seinfeld, you magnificent bastard!

Got to looooove the Sein! Bring it on!!

The cast was embarrassingly unfunny when they reunited on Curb

Don’t care about this
