Microsoft finishes Windows Phone 8, ready for manufacturers
We'd heard that Microsoft was working around the clock to finish the final version of Windows Phone 8, and it appears that hard work has paid off: ZDNet and WPCentral are both reporting that Redmond finished up the new operating system today.

The first batch of Office apps were released over a month ago, but today the rest of the pack has been released, bringing Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint mobile to Nokia's Symbian Belle devices. For now only Nokia 701, 700, 603, E7, X7, C7, Oro, and C6-01 owners can get the software, but the N8, E6, and Nokia 500 will get the software eventually, as will the 808 PureView when it launches.
Nokia Belle phones get business-friendly Microsoft Apps suite
Nokia has announced that its first installment of Microsoft Apps are now available on Belle devices. The package includes the powerful note-taking tool OneNote, the business communication and IM client Lync, a document viewer and manager called Document Connection, and PowerPoint Broadcast, which lets you view presentations on your phone. The apps are available now as part of a system update on most Nokia Belle phones.
