Nintendo Beam Gun

It's 1984 and the Family Computer is a hit in Japan, though it won't be released in the United States until October of 1985. Nintendo releases the game "Wild Gunman" and along with it, the Nintendo Beam Gun. A new kind of light gun fundamentally different from the peripherals that came before it. Shaped like an old west revolver, the Japanese Zapper worked with the many CRT displays of the time, but with the advent of the LCD and Plasma screen has become unusable.
