The Kyocera Rise Android 4.0 smartphone is available at Virgin Mobile starting today for $99.99.
Kyocera’s Urbano Progresso Android 4.0 smartphone and its Smart Sonic Receiver tissue conduction speaker are coming to Japan’s AU on May 30th. The phone is powered by a dual-core Snapdragon MSM8655 running at 1.4GHz, and includes Japanese features like infrared, FeliCa for mobile payments, and an 8.1-megapixel camera.
The Urbano Progresso is Kyocera's first device incorporating its Smart Sonic receiver tissue conduction technology. The phone will be available from AU KDDI sometime after the end of May.
Kyocera plans to start building Japan's largest largest solar power plant this summer in the Kagoshima Bay. Located in the southern half of the country, the 70-megawatt "Kagoshima Nanatsujima Mega-Solar Power Plant" is going to use 290,000 of Kyocera's solar modules to fill up 1.27 million square meters of land (about 314 acres).
