At its press event in New York City moments ago, Nokia announced yet another wireless speaker packing both Bluetooth and NFC, with the latter promising to make pairing with the new lineup of Lumia handsets a much simpler affair.
The Monster Clarity HD Micro is a $219.95 Bluetooth speaker that supports both apt-X and AAC codecs and comes with voice controls. It will be in stores July 1st.
Beats Audio and Monster are no longer making headphones together. Monster will attempt to market their own brand, but a partnership with SOL Republic makes sense. Beats, meanwhile, is controlled by HTC, who's stake in this game is not entirely clear.
