A developer has shown off a Sega Genesis emulator running on the high-powered portable in a YouTube video. Information on how the feat was accomplished is under wraps for now, though we do know it's running the old picodrive Genesis emulator within the Vita's built-in PSP emulator.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II: the saga continues on all but Wii
Sega has announced Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II for release in 2012 on a litany of devices including Android, iOS, Windows Phone 7, XBLA, and PSN, though the 2D platformer won't be coming to WIi this time. The company promises the game will feature new character animations and a reworked physics engine in response to feedback on Episode I.
