Verizon is releasing a non-Android 4.0 update to Motorola's Droid 3 handset. The update adds a number of bug fixes and improves auto focus performance.
Motorla has just updated its large chart detailing its upgrade plans, including specifics on what part of the upgrade process each phone is at and rough availability dates by region. Unfortunately, it looks like there's going to be quite a wait ahead of you, as most of the company's phones still have a long way to go before they get updated.
The Droid 4 will have a 4-inch, qHD display, 5-row edge-lit physical keyboard, LTE, CDMA, HSDPA, and plenty of other acronyms on board. It looks like it could really give the RAZR a run for its money.
Verizon Wireless is offering a variety of discounted smartphones, including a brand-new red HTC Droid Incredible 2. It is also offering the Motorola Xoom 4G for $199.
Apple's iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS were two top selling phones in Q3 2011 according to NPD Group. From a platform perspective, Gartner saw Android sales grow 194 percent and account for over 50 percent of all smartphone sales.
Well, the good news is that things have definitely been improved with the Droid 3′s 8 megapixel shooter. Now, it’s not as good as some of the cameras I’ve seen on Samsung phones or the iPhone 4, but images are mostly well-lit and clear.
