One of the many, many tablets announced at CES this year is available today, the Pantech Element. It's an 8-inch Android tablet running on AT&T's LTE network that normally wouldn't be anything to write home about — especially since it's only running Android 3.2 — but it also has a twist: it's fully waterproof down to 30 feet.

Pantech Element for AT&T LTE now official
Sitting in a glass tank of water is a nice touch. The inexpensive, waterproof Pantech Element tablet was just announced at the AT&T developer summit. Not much of a surprise, given it popped up at an AT&T store this week. The tablet features a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor. You can get both the Element and the Pantech Burst phoen for $249.99 when you sign a contract for both devices.

According to BGR, the Pantech Element Android tablet will be "waterproofed for real life," which translates to splash-resistance as long as all the ports are closed. It's rumored to launch on January 8th with support for AT&T's LTE network and cost $299.99 with a two-year contract.
