The Dell Inspiron 15R was my first laptop, and what I wanted was something I could use for my daily internet rituals as well as gaming. I ordered it with i5 to save a bit of cash and bought it on a sale for a very decent price. I am not disappointed with my choice. It plays every game that I want it to with little to no lag, despite being fairly noisy when processing online or graphically taxing games. The keyboard is surprisingly enjoyable to use however get a mouse. Seriously, get a mouse the touchpad is horrendous. The battery life is decent, but goes down quickly if you are playing games, but can be very long if you are doing less intense activities. Personally I'd suggest the Dell Inspiron 15R if you are looking for a fairly affordable as well as fairly powerful laptop. However, if you have the extra money go with the i7 model or even the next step up.
