iTunes 10.6 adds 192kpbs and 256kbps transcoding options for iPod and iOS devices
The latest release of iTunes now supports transcoding and syncing high bitrate files to iPods and iOS devices in a variety of bitrates: 192kbps and 256kbps are now an option, in addition to the existing 128kbps setting.
